The Carols set the mood for the season and Santa, with
a lot of help from Hynsworth LaFaber, made the effort to set aside a little
time for the clamorous Old Bens, to the delight of the little children who The elder fraternity naturally had a good time, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Sydney Bens Committee and their wives. A tasty dinner, supplemented with Christmas cake ( perhaps the first for the season) and other Sri Lankan sweets made the evening something to think about. Of course, Irvy's music was superb and had everyone on the floor dancing. We all had a rollicking time! |
