Malkanthi Patuwathewithanage celebrated the launch of her inaugural “poem” CD on the 1st of September at the Pennant Hills Community Centre. The CD contains poems sung by artists from Sydney. The Acting Sri Lankan Counsel General Gothami Indikatehena was presented with the first CD at the ceremony. The impact of Malkanthi's lyrics engaged the audience and captured the emotions of each person present. There were over 100 attendees gracing this occasion. The guests had a fantastic opportunity to hear the poems being read in a melodious voice. After a brief intermission, the musical part of the evening moved on to a different strata of entertainment. The guest were treated to popular songs from Sri Lankan. The audience including the elderly were invited to the stage and their willing participation was highly appreciated by the entire audience and Malkanthi. |
