“2008 CURRY NIGHT” organized by the Adelaide Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara to raise funds for the temple activities was held at the Goodwood Community Centre on 31 May 2008.

Over the years, the Curry Night has become the most sought after activity of the Sri Lankan community in South Australia and is also well patronized by curry loving non-Australians as well.

This year, there were over 400 hundred guests and among them were the Sri Lankan national youth netball team consisting of 15 members.

The guests were entertained by Western and Eastern music and a traditional “ves” dance was performed by two Sri Lankans living in Adelaide.

The crowd was treated to a fantastic Baila set by Sydney’s finest DJ Dinesh from Fusive Entertainment.
