Captain Mahela Jayawardene and Ishara Amarasinghe attended a members' dinner organised by Nalandians in Sydney. On Wednesday 6th February 2008 at Winston Hills.

Mahela also donated two bats signed by the Sri lankan Team to be used for fund raising to help Cricket in Sri lanka.

The President of Nalanda Association Harin Kodikara thanked Mahela and Ishara for allowing time from their busy schedule to spend with Nalandians and their families also appreciated the effort from Bandula De Silva for initiating this gathering.

Young Sri lankans gathered around the cricketers, had their photos taken and memorabilia signed.
Nalandians appreciated the excellent event organised by the committee at such short notice and the committee thanked Nihal Yapa for providing the venue.

A very delicious dinner was supplied by Kumarika.

The event was a great success and provided an opportunity to meet our great cricketers.
