The 4th of April marked the inaugural Islanders cricket presentation and dinner dance. The evening kicked off with formal proceedings outlining the clubs goals and future aspirations as well as a short presentation from our charity organisation AFLAC international.

Special mention was also made to the two cricket sides which had a marvellous debut season. Both of which qualified for the semi-finals, with one side narrowly losing in the final. Special awards were also presented to season high achievers by the honorary guest, former Sri Lankan international cricketer Russel Arnold.

The night rolled on in style with great food catered by Ram's matched with measured tunes produced by Nightwalkers Entertainment. As the night matured the festivities continued with a wide array of music and dancing.

A short intermission saw some lucky raffle winners walk away with handfuls of prizes before the music urged the guests back onto the dance floor. The event came to an inevitable close as cricket proved to be the catalyst for an entertaining evening.

The night was extremely successful largely due to the meticulous effort and dedication of its organisers. I would like to take this opportunity to formally thank all those involved in contributing to a memorable night. We also graciously thank everyone who attended the evening to show their support for the club and hope you enjoyed your night with us.

We look forward to hosting future events in an aim to foster cricket, aid and friendship in our wider community.
