For the second year in succession “The Hopper Nite” fund raiser organised by the Sri Lankan community of the Plumpton parish exceeded all expectations. A multicultural patronage by families friends and well wishes resulted in a gathering of 270, who once again enjoyed an evening of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine provided by ”Kumarika's Kitchen”. The evening was spiced up with Gordon Rebeira dishing out music for dancing. The entrance gift of a pack of “Kalu Tea' for every person was generously given by Nissanka Dissanayake. Entrance gifts, door prizes and raffle prizes galore complemented the evening. Raffle tickets were sold only within the hall enabling all winners to be among our generous patrons. MC's John, Shaun and Natasha kept the events moving until midnight. Click here to view an album of over 70 photos submitted by the organisers |
