SHEPHERDIAN YULETIDE NITE HELD AT PARRAMATTA TOWN HALL - REAL GOOD SEASONAL FUN |

The Good Shepherd Convent ladies as usual did a splendid job and all those who attended the Christmas party were full of praise for the Shepherdians. There was a full house with over 225 guests Like all Shepherdian functions where guests get full value for their money, they got exactly what they expected once again. The Christmas spirit was felt as soon as you entered and saw the decorated Christmas tree, and the tables with the beautiful Christmas décor and Christmas table cloths The party started at 7pm with tables laden with Cashewnuts, Nibbles as well as entrees of Fish Cutlets and Samosas as well as Juice, Frizzy Drinks and Water Some Sri Lankans were late but once most of the guests had arrived, the Sing-a-long commenced. The popular Christmas Carols were projected in large print on the large screen and everyone got into the Christmas spirit. Then Santa arrived and the children were excited with the gifts, chocolates and goodies Santa gave away generously By 9 pm the large buffet comprising of both Western and Eastern menus was ready The fabulous sumptuous banquet was laden with Ham, Bar-B-Q Chicken, Roast Beef, Pasta Salad, Garden Salad, Potato Salad, Bread Rolls, Rice, Chicken Buriyani, Devilled Fish, Lamb Curry, Brinjal Pahie, Devilled Cashew curry Malay Pickle etc. There was plenty of food left over for any one interested in 2 nd or 3 rd servings. Gary Pietersz band played such good music that some guests continued dancing while others who were hungry served their meals although unable to resist the music. The night was really enjoyable. The raffle draw of 17 prizes as well as table draws and entrance tickets draws was done shortly after dinner. The desserts of fruit platters, cream caramel and ice cream were really welcomed as the night was extremely hot No one was interested in the tea and coffee, but enjoyed the drinks and other entertainment provided by the Shepherdians. All this for only $25 was a steal Everyone enjoyed the music from 7pm till 1 am and no one was interested in going home as the Shepherdians had done a wonderful job keeping all guests so happy. Everyone was keen to know when the next Shepherdian function would be as it is now well known that all events organised by Good Shepherd Convent are very good |
