Rhythm Knights Rock the hall with their great music on New Years Eve |

Castle Grand was packed to capacity. Over 200 guests had chosen to attend the Rhythm Knights NYE dance, the second year that the group has decided to put on a grand show. The music was superb. Just the foot tapping music that we heard back in Sri Lanka. Modern and traditional were skillfully blended together to keep every guest happy and most on the floor. When we arrived the Rhythm Knight Queen for 2010 was about to be selected and are timing was perfect. With Ozlanka asked to crown the queen and give her the main prize. The floor was generous and Jisty had kept to Sri Lankan proportions with plenty of space to dance and move around. Yet the floor was packed. The music attracting the guests to the floor in droves. Baila was another big surprise. Walter Siriwardene joined the four piece band to belt out a few of the great oldies and we just could not sit back and watch. Yours truly was also on the floor gyrating to the music and the golden voices of Jisty and Walter. Plenty to drink and quality stuff at that. We expect Rhythm Knights will plan an even bigger dance for 2011 NYE. |
