Launching of two Sinhala books by the very talented local writer Lakshman Kodithuwakku

Renowned song writer, playwright, newspaper writer Lakshman Kodithuwakku launched a collection of short stories – Parameshwari  and a childrens' book “Punchi Tommy Sidney Giya” on the Sunday 06 June 2010 at the Blacktown Sinhala School.

This event was attended by over 200 readers who have read and enjoyed Lakshman's outstanding writing style over 15 years. He is regular writer to a wide variety of local and Sri Lankan magazines and newspapers.  In addition to the speeches the event was made colourful by the dancing performances, plays and songs written by Lakshman.

Everyone agreed that this was an entertaining book launch. People who had good time were seen busy buying the two books at the end of the event which was a great encouragement to the author.

The only hiccup was the sound system making noises while playing some music tracks. This was fully explained by Lakshman himself in his speech to the laughter of the audience. According to him due to some bad deed in a previous life, all his creations get adversely affected by the sound system!
