The Sinhalese Cultural Forum of NSW proudly presented the 2010 Christmas celebration and members' night which was held at the Don Moore Community Centre on the 11 th December. It was truly an enjoyable night filled with great entertainment from very talented performers and an amazing attendance of around 250 people!

The night commenced with entertaining song and dance performances by children of North Parramatta Sinhala School , and Blacktown Sinhala School . This was shortly followed by fun-filled Christmas carols that created a joyous atmosphere for the night.

We had a visit by Santa Claus, which was organised by the Tharuna Youth Group (TYG), who gave out presents and seemed very popular amongst the younger children, making their night also extremely enjoyable.

During the middle of the night, awards were presented to Mr Henry Kumarapperuma, Mr Lakshman Kodituwakku, Mrs Prasadika Wickramaarachchi, Mr Champa Buddhipala, Mr Nimal Wanigasinghe and Mst Thissal Padukka Vidana for their significant contributions to promote the Sri Lankan culture in Australia during the year.

There were many singing performances by well known local artists, followed by a Sri Lankan Baila session for the enthusiastic audience.

It was a great night that the whole family could enjoy!
