A memorable evening at Spoons Restaurant & Function Centre on 17 December night featuring the versatile and ever green Sri Lankan singer Desmond and his group.

Desmond and his musicians, Gordon and Roger were dressed up as The Three Wise men and walked on stage through a packed house with over 250 people, carrying candles followed by the other Biblical characters, Mary (Jackie White), Joseph (Darrel Mayo) and Angel (Brandon White). Phyllis had done a wonderful job in producing the show.

DJ J Shehan enhanced the Christmas atmosphere, taking everybody down memory lane by playing old favourites mixed with current popular hits. No one could remain seated with this type of melodies.

All credit should go to Manjula and his staff of Spoons Restaurant who worked tirelessly to arrange tables, create a decor to suit the festive season and for the superb Sri Lankan style buffet.

The crowd was a cross section of many age groups and representing the diverse ethnicity of Sri Lanka. They sang carols with Desmond, danced to the tunes poured in by Shehan and needless to say enjoyed food and wine served by Spoons.

Manjula is preparing to throw another memorable night on the New Year's Eve at Spoons.
