Nalanda Dinner Dance 2011 at the Castle Grand Pioneer Hall, Castle Hill, Sydney

By our special correspondent

Another fabulous dinner dance, organised by the Nalandians in Sydney on the 12th November 2011, was well attended by 250+ guests. The splendid character of the Castle Grand Pioneer Hall was further enhanced by the simple charm of the decorations reflecting the Nalanda College colours and beautiful flower arrangements on the tables. This crowd pleasing event was a fund raiser for the Nalanda College, Colombo.

The success of the event was most evident by the accolades received from the guests. The fabulous performance of the band “Fusive” in the night was extraordinary. It didn’t take that long for Fusive to get the floor filled with guests dancing to the rhythms.

They entertained the crowd with such a captivation that no one wanted to be out of the dancing floor. The well presented mouth-watering buffet dinner was supplied by Rohan Gamage of VH Catering.

Few lucky guests managed to take quality prizes home, offered as the lucky door prize and few from the Raffle draw.

The occasion was attended by the Sri Lankan Consul General in Sydney Mr. Dayasiri Fernando and his lovely wife Minoli who picked the lucky door prize winner.

The Committee of Nalandians in Sydney who organized the event is delighted to see the success of the event with the support of past Nalandians, their families and friends.
