Sinuwara Prathiba presented by the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute, OBA of NSW, an exclusive stage production

Walter Jayakody President of CGTTI OBA of NSW

Sinuwara Prathiba was an unique masterpiece held last Saturday evening, at Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith. Commenced at 6.30pm, the night was a spectacular array of dances, comedies, dramas, song acts and ensembles.

Proudly presented by the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute, Old Boys Association of NSW, the team succeeded to showcase an exclusive stage production.  The organisation’s ultimate aim was to provide the fellow Sri Lankan artists and choreographers a better opportunity to reveal their expertise and skills to the wider community, which was achieved with no misfortune.

This extravaganza was produced to assure any audiences tastes. By engaging the youth, the next generation, and the more experienced, a blend of the Western and Eastern Culture was incorporated into the show. Whilst still maintaining the Sri Lankan identity as the primary culture.

In the audience, distinguished guests included Mr. Kevin Conolly, the Federal Member of Parliament for Greenway and Mr.Dayasiri Fernando, Sri Lankan Consul General in Sydney. Other highly talented and dignified contributors of the show were Dr. Shelton Premaratne and Mr.Somapala Mudunkothge, who were evidently praised that evening.

The OBA committeeappreciate all the supportive members, families and friends who supported the event and sponsors who financially supported the event.  Sincere thanks to our media sponsors for the publicity of the event.

For the CGTTI OBA, it was a pleasure working with others in our community, we hope we have inspired the community to retain our Sri Lankan Identity and be proud as a nation.
