Music was delightful ye olde world with Mr. Lucky Gunawardene at the keyboard accompanied by Mr Lye. Soon everyone was on the floor and actions were  like a teenage night spot!! Mr Arthur Seneviratne danced with all the “young”  ladies and sang a solo as well!!

A fabulous  fare of Sri Lankan curries and rice was provided by the Blue Elephant Restaurant, and the owner Mr Sivakumaran himself was in attendance!  The spread was magnificent, with specialities like Ambul Thiyal and Karavadu providing the nostalgia of home!

Wine was flowing, and had been donated by Mr and Mrs Lakshman Jayaweera.

The President then introduced the next speaker, NSW politician Kevin Conolly who spoke about the importance of the Sri Lankan community in Australia and the continued evolvement of same.

It was then time to sample all the sumptuous deserts that had been laid out by the committee.
